As a child, she began concocting stories from a very young age.
As she grew, she learned to harbor her story-telling imagination and turn it into readable content. She penned her first full-length novel at the age of 18, and has been writing ever since. Her concentrations revolve around Young adult, Science fiction, and Murder mysteries, but she has recently been dabbling with the Paranormal genre.
In recent years, she has started her own successful company: Dakota Cook Company. It offers manuscript editing, digital marketing, publishing services to aspiring authors, and productivity coaching. As the CEO, she does much of the work herself, but particularly enjoys editing manuscripts.
Her hobbies include learning to play new instruments, singing on the side, and—of course—reading.
She currently resides in Albuquerque with her husband, Michael, her daughter, Lennie, her son, Ezra, and her dog, Archimedes.
